Upcoming Practice Changes-

Friday. February 3rd, 2012-
Due to High School Regionals at Oakmarr the 3:30- 5:30pm workouts are moved to Tysons Sport and Health 3:15-5:15pm.

Saturday, Ferbruary 4th, 2012-
All SATURDAY PRACTICES ARE ON AS SCHEDULED.

Tuesday, February 7th, 2012-
Due to a High school meet at THE MADEIRA SCHOOL the 4:00pm Coach Dan group and 4:45pm Coach Rod group are moved to Tysons Sport and Health

• Coach Dan's 4:00- 6:30p group is moved to either OAKMARR 4:30- 6:30am or TYSONS 3:15- 5:15pm
• Coach Rod's 4:45- 6:30pm group is moved to TYSONS 3:15- 5:15pm -OR-4:15- 5:45pm.

Thursday, February 9th, 2012-
Due to the FINAL high school meet of the season, the 7:15-9:00pm MADEIRA Group is moved to TYSONS 7:15- 9:00pm.

High School/ Summer Prep Group

The highschool/ Summer prep group will resume at all locations on February 21st, 2012.  We hope everyone had a great Highschool season and are ready to get back in the water with Machine. 

Championship Swimming & College Swimming-

As we begin our 2nd half of the season, we wanted to invite you to our annual championship meeting open to ALL 13 & over parents.  We will discuss the travel meets that Machine will be participating in from March- August 2012.   

The purpose of this meeting is to detail for you our championship meet schedule (Sectionals- Nationals), what you should plan for your swimmer when they travel with Machine and to create an open forum to answer all your questions.

Given that our numbers for these meets have grown significantly, we have modified how we will handle NCSA Junior Nationals, Olympic Trials, US Open & USA Swimming Long Course Junior Nationals travel arrangements.

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL PARENTS WITH SWIMMERS CLOSE TO OR AT THIS LEVEL TO ATTEND!!

The cuts for the March Sectional Meet & NCSA Meet have been posted. We are hoping to have all the cut and travel information for all the other championship meets available at the meeting.

The last part of our meeting is understanding swimming in college.  We will detail for you what Machine's role is in this, what the parent's role is, NCAA Rules, etc.  We also have an open round table discussion where Machine parents who currently have children swimming in college will share with you their experiences and knowledge.  This part of the meeting  has always been very successful!!

In order for your times to get loaded into the USA Swimming SWIMS database from the Regional & State meet, YOU MUST SUPPLY THE MEET DIRECTOR WITH YOUR USAS ID NUMBER.  If you are not aware of what your number is the formula for creating it is below. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU SUPPLY YOUR NUMBER AND TEAM TO THE MEET OPERATOR OR THE TIMES WILL NOT BE IN OUR DATABASE!!!

FORMULA:

DOB MMDDYY -first 3 of legal first name- MI- first 4 letters of last name.
