Head Site Coach:

Brenna Broadus

Brenna was born and raised in Charlottesville, VA where she began swimming for a local summer league team at age four. She swam year round for the Piedmont Family YMCA (CYAC) from ages 7-18. She qualified for Y-Nationals during her last four years with the team and also swam for her high school. She attended Denison University where she specialized in the butterfly, breastroke, IM and sprint freestyles. She was a 12x NCAA All-American, a 2x NCAA Academic All-American and a 4x Individual NCAC Conference Champion. Denison University began their NCAC Championship streak during her freshman year and has since won the conference championship the last seven years. The Denison women's team placed both second and third in team finishes at NCAA's during her tenure. She was voted team captain her senior year and graduated from Denison University in 2012 with a B.S. in Psychology and Biology. During the summer break from Denison, she was both a Head and Assistant Coach for her summer league team as part of the Jefferson Swim League (JSL). She moved to D.C. in the fall of 2012 and has since worked in the law and in real estate for the past few years, while giving swim lessons part-time at Equinox Sports Club. She decided to make the move to full time coaching in the fall of 2015 and is very excited to be a part of Machine in her second year! She was the Head Assistant Coach with the D1 team Overlee in the NVSL. She looks forward to sharing her passion for the sport and to a great second season!
