Competitive Progams

At Machine, we believe that there is a place in our program for all levels of swimmers. We strive to create an environment where swimmers are able to develop and pursue their goals. Swimmers practice all year long in our nine month and eleven month programs.

Maintenance program

Our Maintenance programs include our Seasonal Session groups and Stroke Mechanics programs. These programs emphasize Stroke development while improving endurance and efficiency.

Sean Mayer

Sean was born and raised in Springfield, Va. Lifelong Machinery he joined at the age of 8, swimming first for Paris Jacobs, and later for Lynnann Nickley, Christian Doud, and Brad Bowser. After graduating from West Springfield High School, Sean went on to swim for the University of Mary Washington and graduated in 2016 with a degree in mathematics. He is also the Head Coach of the Hunt Valley Stingrays of the NVSL; the club where he first learned to swim. 

Joining the Machine coaching staff in the fall of 2016, Sean is the new Head Site Coach at Tysons Sport and Health. He is extremely excited for that opportunity and to share his love of swimming this coming year!
