University of Maryland Gears Schedule

gears green - 2 workouts

This program is designed to develop proper stroke technique, introduce swimmers to training and competition. Strongly encouraged to participate in approximately one (1) meet per month. This program has two (2) workouts per week. This is a 9 month (36 week) program. All workouts include water time and dry land workouts, as appropriate per level.

UMA2 - AGE GROUP - GREEN GEARS

Tuesday, Thursday 6:00-7:30pm

Saturday 9:30-11:00am


gears silver - 3 workouts

This program is designed to develop proper stroke technique, introduce swimmers to training and competition. Swimmers learn to focus and develop competition and training goals, endurance workouts and use dryland exercise to promote core stability and bio- mechanics efficiency.   Strongly encouraged to participate in approximately one (1) meet per month. This program has three (3) workouts per week.  This is a 9 month (36 week) program. All workouts include water time and dry land workouts, as appropriate per level.

UMA3 - gears silver 

Monday, Wednesday 6:00-7:30pm

Friday 5:00-6:30 pm

Saturday 9:00-11:00am


gears orange -  4 workouts

This program is designed to develop proper stroke technique, introduce swimmers to training and competition. Swimmers learn to focus and develop competition and training goals, endurance workouts and use dryland exercise to promote core stability and bio- mechanics efficiency.   Strongly encouraged to participate in approximately one (1) meet per month. This program has four - five (4-5) workouts per week.  This is a 9 month (36 week) program. All workouts include water time and dry land workouts, as appropriate per level.

UMA4 - gears orange 

Monday/Wednesday 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Friday 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Saturday 9:00 - 11:00 am
